Strathmore University’s Access Campaign aims at increasing participation in higher education by students who for a variety of financial or social reasons do not view going to university as a viable or attractive option.
We believe that every bright secondary school student deserves access to quality university education. But because of shortage of resources, lack of awareness of the importance of education and lack of role models many of these bright and needy students very often do not go to university.
Strathmore University wants to offer its education to all deserving students independently of their ability to pay. We want to expose them to our educational experience and thus transform them. And we achieve this through excellence in teaching and research in an atmosphere of freedom, upholding ethical values and being of service to society.
Thus they will join our other graduates and thus be positive agents of change in the economic, social and political life of East Africa and beyond.
